About Tata Crucible - The Campus Quiz UK 2009
Tata Crucible - ‘The Campus Quiz’ seeks to bring together the sharpest young minds in UK to take on the heat of an exciting business quiz. It is a team based contest with 2 participants per team (from same college/university). The Quiz made its debut in the United Kingdom for the first time in 2008 where some of the best universities including Oxford, Cambridge, LBS, LSE, Imperial & Warwick battled for the crowning glory of business quizzing.
The 2nd edition of the quiz in UK will be held on 22nd November, 2009 with its share of thrills and suspense for the student community there.
Last year, to broaden the scope of the event, the concept of the grand International Final was conceived as a face-off between the top 2 teams from UK, Singapore and India. In what could be aptly called the Clash of the Titans, IIM Calcutta from India won the International Championship for 2009 ahead of London Business School (UK), SMU (Singapore), MICA (India), SIM (Singapore) and Oxford University (UK) at the mega event held in Mumbai, India in April 2009.
Running successfully for last 5 years in India, the international edition of the Tata Crucible Quiz was launched in 2007 for campus students in Singapore. The 3rd edition of the campus quiz in Singapore is scheduled to take place in October, 2009. The Top 2 teams from UK will get a chance to take on winners from Singapore & India in the world finals in India.
